Traditional method of making Ghee
Nature’s Box pure cow ghee is made from fresh cow milk within few hours of milking. The milk is boiled after which a spoonful of curd is added to the lukewarm milk and left overnight. This curd is churned using Bilona method which uses a wooden churner, to extract creamy butter which is boiled at low heat till the aromatic, golden yellow ghee is formed. Finally, the ghee is filtered and hygienically packed with the wholesome goodness intact.

Bilona ghee refers to the traditional method of making ghee using a wooden beater which is used to churn butter from curd.
Unlike machine produced ghee, Bilona method has double nutrition and retains the original flavour, aroma and taste. One litre of hand churned ghee requires around 30 litres of milk. It is a slow and time-consuming process but worth the effort.
