Finger Nails can reveal the presence of an underlying lung or heart disease. According to Cancer research UK, in case of lung cancer, the base of nail softens and the skin next to it becomes red and shiny. Pale nails can mean anaemia or heart failure. Curved nails also known as finger clubbing (nails curves downwards) can signal lung trouble. However, one must not rely on partial confirmations, consult a doctor if nails look abnormal.
