Jun 06, 2022
As you bite this hot pepper, the initial taste is sweet and soon your tongue is on fire. Carolina Reaper is the hottest chilli in the world. It measures more than 2 million Scoville heat units (Measurement of pungency or spiciness). It was bred by a South Carolina breeder Ed Currie. The word reaper is due to the shape of the pepper’s tail. It is hottest because of the density of Capsaicinoids, the active component in chilli peppers which are related to the intensity of heat.
