Why Do Tastebuds Change?

Tastebuds are found on the top surface of the tongue. They can detect various elements of taste like salty, sour, sweet, spice and bitter. Tastebuds get renewed when hot food items burn the tongue. The average lifespan of tastebuds is approximately ten days. The short life span is mainly due to the effects of temperatures, textures and size of foods.
